Die Cuttin Divas: Spring Colors Challenge

Their challenge this week is a....

Color Challenge:

Let's use Pastels (light pink, baby blue, soft yellow, and pale green)

     I haven't made many baby cards lately and when I saw this
challenge it just said "BABY" to me. I dont' use

                                        many pastel colors in my cards but I must say, I do love
how this came out. Here is my challenge card.

I love this striped paper. I think I have had it for several years and it just had all the color

requirements for this card. I cut two fancy swirls with me Sizzix and placed them under the

scalloped ovel for alittle more demention.

 The sentiment is a Jolenes sticker set that I

    have had along time as well. It so much fun digging

through all the scrappy stuff that I have stashed

here and there to find the perfect thing I am looking for.

I used a Jolenes border sticker for the bottom. And for the inside

I always make it at pretty as the outside. Take a look here.

For this scallop I cut one out of the front background paper, then cut another

one out of the pink. Then with my oval cutter I cute the loops off the pike

and layed it ontop of the pastel striped one. I love the look. And of course

to finish it off I had to add another little Angel. I hope you enjoy this

Here is my take on that sketch.

I so  do love my scrappin bag. Evey piece of paper on  my little gal card came from

from scrap bag. At this rate, I'll be using all of my scraps It's such fun digging around

to see what I can find. Anyway, enough rambling. As you can see I wanted this to be bright

and cheery so I chose Yellow for the background.

For the 3 stripe down the card I used my new Martha Stewart lattis punch that I just got. I am goin

to love these punches. HSN has a special going a couple of weeks ago, where you buy a set of 4

punches and this was my first set. Can't wait for the other three to arrive..So, for the swirls and flow I

used my sizzix die to cut the swirls and them with some precut florals, I chose some colors that went with

the pattern paper.

 I used the bottom end of the pattern paper for my strip. Cut an oval, embossed it  and

cut the get well sentiment. My little girl is done with my  new Copic markers. I know I'm gonna

love them. I need another set but I have to wait. They are quite spendy. Isn't she sooo

 very cute with her red hair though.

CFC- 47

This weeks challenge over at http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/ was to create an Easter Card with something that you would find in an Easter Basket. I just happened to have this stamp that had two
of those items that you would find in a basket. A bunny and an Egg as well as grass. So perfect for this
challenge.

Here is my card.

I found this back ground paper in my stash box. I cut my scalloped retangle frame from Sizzix to sit my oval

on top of so that my rabbit would really pop. The rabbit is a stamp from Stampin Up.

The trim I used is also from my scrap box. I picked it up at a garage sale this past summer and I love the way it looks like grass. And the lovely bow is from Reasonable Ribbons.

The Happy Easter is another stamp from Stampin Up.

For the inside I just cut two ovals one larger than the other and back them for the journaling. And for the bottom of my card I used alittle more of the ribbon lace to sit my little rabbit on. This one will be hard to give away, but I have the perfect person.

Do You Speak Cricut Saturday---Lovely Floral

Welcome to the 5th week of Do You Speak Cricut Saturdays! I don't know about the

rest of you but I am finding this to be very helpful. I have had my Cricut Espressions

2 for over two years now and I am still learning and having these Cricut reviews has been

wonderful. This week I have chosen to do my review on the

 Lovely Floral cartridge.

This cartridge offers many designs, shapes, fonts and sayings. It  has over

50 designs some with layering. I have used this cartridge for making wedding cards

to baby cards and allot more in between. It is a very versatile cartridge.

Like some of the other cartridges this one doesn't offer allot of special features. But what

it does offer is fantastic. Some of the sayings that this one offers is, and this is my

favorite one, "Scrap Queen", plus Home Sweet Home, Smile, Thank You, Handsome

Fellow, Create and much, much more.

Sometimes the most beautiful parts of a design are just the accents. The Cricut® Lite Lovely Floral cartridge is filled with tags, flowers, and phrases that are great additions to scrapbook pages, home decor, cards, and other projects. Made Especially For You weekly challenge: Easter card with digi

This weeks challenge was to make an Easter card using a DIGI image.

I personally love Easter and found this challenge extremely fun. So

here is my DIGI and the card I made using it.

The background paper is a raised polka dot in all the colors that I was using on my card. I cut

my scalloped circle using my Sizzix stackable die then ran it through my small dots embossing

folder. The purple in the back was also ran through my small dots embossing folder.

I used a Jolenes Easter dimensional sticker for my sentiment. Using my swirl die, I used white

 to make the swirl then cut it into two pieces and placed it behind the sentiment. I had these iridescent butterflies that I thought really topped this card off.

I used the Egg DIGI for my card. I just love how it turned out. Here's one more look at

my finished card.

Really Reasonable Ribbons

Challenge #45 - Buttons & Bows Theme

This weeks challenge is called Buttton and Bows. Here is what I chose to

make for this challegnge.

For the back ground of this card I used a double sided paper and I can't even tell

you were I got it. I have this habit of taking all the paper out of the books they come in

and putting them into colors. I have since stopped doing that so I can tell where the

paper came from.. Anyway,I have this really cool Martha Stewart edge cutter that makes these really nice swirls along the edge of the paper, then I used my Cricut and my Picturesque card to make the

fancy swirls. I purchased this almost sheer ribbon from Joanns sometime ago and decided to make

this large loop along the edge.

For the flowers I used my Pansy stamp, colored them with Prisma colored pencils

and topped them with a button. I hope you'll come back and checkout another

CAS-ual Fridays

CAS-ual Friday Challenge 46

With all this rain this week, it wasn't hard for me to chose my theme for this weeks challenge.

Here is my take on this weeks challenge.

I used your standard sized invitation card and went searching in my

scrap bag to find the pretty blue that I used for the back ground. I

ran that through my small dots embossing folder and my BigKick

machine.

With my Fiskars dots and scallops die cutter, I edged my card.

On my computer I made the "Spring Showers" and cut it out to look like

a cloud.

I made the umbrella and stamped the little duck in rubber boots. I used

my Prisma colored pencils to color them and then I had these really

cool jell rain drops from Imaginations that I placed randomely on the page.

With all th rain that we are having here in Oregon, I think the card

speaks volumes.
